Today I had a meeting on campus. Everything started okay. I got out of work on time to make it the forty minute drive over to campus. I even had time to pick up a Starbucks coffee, because priorities. Traffic was moving smoothly.
And then I get to campus.
And it starts pouring. My meeting is in fifteen minutes across campus from where I had to park. I had no time to wait for the rain to die down.
So off I went. No umbrella. Just a sweatshirt and hoping I didn’t have mascara running down my face.
And you know what? I couldn’t even be mad about it.
It made for a great opportunity to laugh with other students passing by that were umbrella-less and chat with students waiting in the same lobby as me. Funny how a rainy day can aid in helping me turn into an extrovert. No more being the shy girl in a crowded place.
So when you are in a situation that you have no control over find the positive side. Laugh at the unexpected. Start a conversation.
Just a little reminder that Mondays don’t have to be bad.
What is something good that happened to you today? Any unexpected plans pop up? What is your favorite thing about Monday? Would love to know! Share in the comments.
